Insurers Lose Bid For Payment Over Champion Ch. 11

Law360 (December 20, 2010, 8:46 PM EST) -- A bankruptcy judge has shot down a bid by a group of insurance companies to force Champion Enterprises Inc. to pay up for various insurance policies as an administrative expense of its estate.

Judge Kevin Gross issued an order on Friday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware denying the payment motion by American Home Assurance Co. Inc., Chartis Excess Ltd., and the Illinois National Insurance Co., among others.
