Former Madoff Aide Jailed After $5M Bail Revoked

Law360, New York (December 21, 2010, 6:47 PM EST) -- Bernard L. Madoff's former employee Annette Bongiorno reported to jail Tuesday after a federal judge revoked her $5 million bail on the grounds that she was a flight risk.

Judge Laura Taylor Swain of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ordered Bongiorno, who had been under home confinement in Florida, to report to jail no later than 3 p.m. She surrendered to U.S. marshals and was booked at the Palm Beach County jail prior to the deadline.
