Ex-UBS Banker Pleads Guilty To Insider Trading Scheme

Law360, New York (December 22, 2010, 3:05 PM EST) -- A former UBS Securities LLC investment banker has pled guilty to allegations that he handed out tips on upcoming health care industry mergers as part of an insider trading ring, a scheme that netted him about $1 million in illicit profits.

Igor Poteroba, an investment banker in the health care unit of UBS Securities, pled guilty Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to conspiracy and securities fraud charges and agreed to forfeit $465,095.21.
