Marshall & Ilsley Shareholders Sue Over $4B BMO Deal

Law360, New York (December 23, 2010, 6:22 PM EST) -- Marshall & Ilsley Corp. shareholders have launched a proposed class action accusing the financial services company and its management of giving Canadian buyer BMO Financial Group too sweet of a deal in a recently announced $4 billion takeover.

Investor Joshua Fruchter filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin on Wednesday on behalf of similarly situated stockholders accusing Marshall & Ilsley, its management and its board members of breaching fiduciary duties.
