Baker Botts Disqualified From Fujitsu IP Suit

Law360, New York (December 23, 2010, 8:17 PM EST) -- A federal judge has disqualified Baker Botts LLP from representing Fujitsu Ltd. in a patent suit against four wireless router companies, saying that the firm's previous representation of one of the defendants, Netgear Inc., constitutes a breach of its duty of loyalty.

Though it no longer represents Netgear, Baker Bott's previous work with the company on two separate issues precludes its involvement in the Fujitsu suit, Judge Lucy Koh of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ruled Wednesday.
