US Suspends 2 Military Contractors In Afghanistan

Law360, New York (January 5, 2011, 4:13 PM EST) -- Two prime contractors for the U.S. military in Afghanistan have been suspended from further government work over allegations that they failed to pay Afghan subcontractors who needed that money to compensate workers and complete projects.

Centcom Contracting Command on Wednesday announced the suspensions against Bennett-Fouch Associates and K5 Global, both of which came under scrutiny following complaints from several contractors and could face stiffer penalties pending an investigation.
