SEC Backs Off Indicted Richards Layton IT Guy For Now

Law360, New York (January 5, 2011, 6:44 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has successfully stayed a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission suit against a former Richards Layton & Finger PA computer technician accused by both bureaus of abusing firm information to trade in Google Inc. and other companies.

Tuesday’s order by Judge Sue L. Robinson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware followed a Dec. 20 DOJ motion to intervene for the sole purpose of requesting that the civil trial be stayed pending resolution of the criminal case.
