Anadarko, KMG Can't Escape Tronox Securities Case

Law360, New York (January 5, 2011, 3:24 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Wednesday mostly denied attempts by former Tronox Inc. owner Kerr-McGee Corp. and Anadarko Petroleum Corp., which bought the pigment maker, to escape a consolidated securities class action claiming they artificially inflated the company's stock price.

Judge Shira Scheindlin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York refused to grant a motion by KMG and one officer to dismiss the fourth count of the amended consolidated complaint, which alleges the KMG, Anadarko, Luke Corbett, Robert Wohleber and Gregory Pilcher...
