Church & Dwight Sue Clorox Over Cat Litter Ads

Law360, New York (January 5, 2011, 7:52 PM EST) -- Church & Dwight Co. Inc., the maker of Arm & Hammer Super Scoop cat litter, filed suit Wednesday against rival Clorox Co. in an effort to force an allegedly misleading ad campaign off the air.

Clorox, which began running television ads near the end of 2010 comparing Super Scoop to Clorox's Fresh Step brand litter, “intentionally misleads, confuses and deceives consumers,” Church & Dwight said in a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
