PwC Beats Reconsideration Bid In Lipper Case

Law360 (January 10, 2011, 5:53 PM EST) -- A federal judge has stood by his decision to toss claims brought against PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP by investors in Lipper Convertibles LP, who alleged that PwC audits hid the poor financial shape of the now-defunct hedge fund.

Though the investors were dissatisfied with losing the case, a motion for reconsideration was not a chance to rehash old issues, Judge Richard M. Berman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said in an order issued Thursday.
