Lucent, AT&T Settle Pension Plan Suits Against US

Law360, New York (January 13, 2011, 2:12 PM EST) -- Lucent Technologies Inc. and AT&T Corp. have finalized settlements in multimillion-dollar litigation with the U.S. over pension plan assets connected to Lucent's government contracts business, part of which was later sold to General Dynamics Corp.

Lucent and AT&T filed stipulations of dismissal Wednesday in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, saying they had settled two lawsuits against the federal government. Court documents did not disclose the terms of the settlements, which were first reached in principle in 2009.
