Wendy's To Settle Calif. Labor Suit For $1.5M

Law360, New York (January 18, 2011, 5:00 PM EST) -- A federal judge has preliminarily approved a $1.5 million settlement between Wendy's International Inc. and a class of nearly 9,000 California employees who claim the fast food chain denied them meal and rest breaks.

Judge Margaret M. Morrow of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Tuesday granted preliminary approval to the proposed deal to resolve the wage-and-hour suit.
