Fla. Asks To Add 6 States To Health Law Fight

Law360, New York (January 18, 2011, 7:45 PM EST) -- The state of Florida sought to add six more states Tuesday to a 20-state lawsuit contending the federal health care law's mandate that individuals buy health insurance or pay a penalty is unconstitutional.

Ohio, Kansas, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Maine and Iowa should be added to the challenge to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Florida told the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
