AOL, IBM, Others Sued Over Data Storage Patent

Law360 (January 20, 2011, 7:23 PM EST) -- An Austin, Texas-based company has accused AOL Inc., IBM Corp., and four other media and technology companies of infringing a data storage patent.

Parallel Iron LLC filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Wednesday, targeting AOL, IBM, Accela Communications Inc., Potomic Fusion Inc., Click Forensics Inc. and Contextweb Inc.

Parallel Iron sent the companies letters notifying them of the alleged patent infringement and inviting them to discuss a licensing agreement but was rebuffed, according to the complaint....
