DOD, Others Aim To Make Contractor Info Public

Law360, New York (January 24, 2011, 3:41 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Defense, NASA and another federal agency have unveiled a new rule that would make available to the public a federal database of previously restricted government contractor information.

The DOD, NASA and the U.S. General Services Administration issued an interim rule Monday that would make open to public scrutiny nearly all information in the Federal Awardee Performance and Integrity Information System, which culls performance, ethical and other data on government contractors.
