US Can't Shake Zoltek Patent Suit Over Plane Mats

Law360, New York (January 25, 2011, 4:36 PM EST) -- The federal government has lost its bids to strike testimony and score summary judgment in a long-running suit accusing it of infringing Zoltek Corp.'s patent with certain mats installed in a bomber plane made by Lockheed Martin Corp.

In his Dec.16 opinion, unsealed in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims on Monday, Judge Edward J. Damich ruled that there were genuine issues of material fact related to the obviousness of the patent and denied the government's motion for summary judgment accordingly.
