Dish Hit With False Ad Suit Over Programming Contract

Law360, New York (January 26, 2011, 7:40 PM EST) -- Satellite television provider Dish Network LLC faces a putative class action that accuses the company of a bait-and-switch for failing to provide a customer's Fox Sports Net package for a month and then refusing to provide restitution.

Mike Padberg, a Missouri Dish Network customer since 2004, sued the Colorado company in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri on Tuesday for dropping purchased programming throughout October and refusing to refund his money or allow him out of his contract without cancelation penalties.
