Apple, Google, Others Sued Over Processor Patent

Law360, New York (January 28, 2011, 12:47 PM EST) -- MicroUnity Systems Engineering Inc. has lodged another patent infringement suit against technology and communications giants including Apple Inc. and Google Inc., claiming some of their most popular products violate a patent covering certain processors.

In a complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Santa Clara, Calif.-based MicroUnity said the companies have breached its intellectual property through processors, cellular phones, media players and other devices that they have either manufactured or sold.
