Pilots Ask DC Circ. To Revive US Airways Pension Row

Law360 (January 28, 2011, 4:11 PM EST) -- A putative class of retired airline pilots is urging the D.C. Circuit to revive its suit alleging US Airways Group Inc. bilked them out of millions of dollars in interest by delaying the payment of lump-sum retirement benefits.

The plaintiffs, led by James C. Stephens and Richard Mahoney, filed their opening brief Thursday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, arguing the lower court was wrong in granting summary judgment in favor of the defendants and throwing out the suit....
