Nissan, Honda Duck Antitrust Action Over Car Imports

Law360 (January 31, 2011, 8:34 PM EST) -- A California judge has nixed Nissan North America Inc. and American Honda Motor Co. Inc. from a consolidated consumer antitrust class action alleging the automakers conspired with other industry players to keep cheap Canadian cars out of the U.S. market.

Judge Richard A. Kramer of the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco granted the two defendants and their Canadian counterparts separate motions for summary judgment at a Jan. 18 hearing, Nissan counsel Bingham McCutchen LLP announced Monday.
