TD Hit With Class Action Over Class Actions

Law360, New York (February 2, 2011, 1:50 PM EST) -- A TD Ameritrade Inc. client has filed a putative class action against the brokerage, claiming it breached its customer agreement when it failed to tell her she was entitled to money from a class action securities suit.

TD Ameritrade makes it a policy not to forward class notifications on to customers who hold so-called street name securities, cutting clients out of millions, plaintiff Susan Samuels said in a suit filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
