Centaur Reaches $8.5M Deal With Churchill Downs

Law360, New York (February 2, 2011, 2:30 PM EST) -- Bankrupt casino operator Centaur LLC has agreed to pay Churchill Downs Inc. $8.5 million to settle Churchill's claims related to a contract for the sale of Hoosier Park Racing & Casino in Anderson, Ind.

In a motion to approve the settlement filed Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, Centaur said the parties had determined it was in their best interests to reach an amicable solution of a dispute regarding the contract, which was signed before Centaur's March 2010 bankruptcy filing....
