Wayport Sued Over Patents For Internet Access At Hotels, Airports

Law360, New York (September 22, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two privately-held New Hampshire companies have sued a Texas-based rival for infringement of patents covering wired and wireless internet access to customers in hotels and airports across the country.

PowerOasis, Inc., and PowerOasis Networks, LLC filed a lawsuit against Wayport, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, asserting that the rival infringes two PowerOasis patents that provide for the sale of telecommunications services, such as high speed Internet access, on a pay-as-you-go basis in public locations like airports, the companies said in...
