Shareholders Try To Revive Barclays Subprime Suit

Law360, New York (February 7, 2011, 4:43 PM EST) -- Barclays Bank PLC investors have asked a federal judge to reconsider his dismissal of a consolidated securities class action alleging the British bank misled shareholders about its exposure to subprime mortgage-backed securities before the housing market collapse.

The class on Friday filed a motion to reconsider Judge Paul Crotty of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York's decision to toss the case without granting the the investors in Barclays American Depository Shares leave to amend.
