United, Workers Win Initial OK For $1.25M OT Deal

Law360, New York (February 7, 2011, 7:58 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Monday gave preliminary approval to a $1.25 million settlement in a putative class action accusing United HealthCare Services Inc. of failing to compensate its call center workers for daily off-the-clock work, overtime and meal breaks.

Judge Christina A. Snyder of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California granted plaintiff Robert Cohen's motion for preliminary approval of the proposed settlement and set the final approval hearing for June 6.
