Pfizer Appeals Sanctions In Neurontin Antitrust Action

Law360, New York (February 8, 2011, 7:28 PM EST) -- Pfizer Inc. has appealed a magistrate judge's order sanctioning the company for a witness testimony violation in a class action that accuses the pharmaceutical giant of using patent litigation to delay generic competition for epilepsy drug Neurontin.

The company and its subsidiary Warner-Lambert Co. on Tuesday filed a sealed appeal of the order in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Judge Faith S. Hochberg will decide the appeal without oral arguments by March 7, according to the docket for the case....
