DC Comics Seeks Docs In 'Superman' Copyright Row

Law360, New York (February 8, 2011, 8:10 PM EST) -- Heirs to the creators of "Superman" asked a court Tuesday to reject a bid by DC Comics to compel consent agreements related to an earlier lawsuit, the latest battle in an ongoing war over copyrights to the iconic comic.

The agreements were protected by a confidentiality provision and could not legally be handed over, heirs to Jerome Siegel and Joseph Shuster said in a rebuttal filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
