Judge Approves Blood Plasma Antitrust MDL

Law360, New York (February 10, 2011, 6:52 PM EST) -- A federal judge has greenlighted a multidistrict litigation accusing dominant blood plasma product makers CSL Ltd. and Baxter International Inc. of colluding to drive up prices.

Judge Joan B. Gottschall of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said Wednesday that the consolidated complaint made up of 17 class actions meets the pleading standards laid out in Twombly, and denied the companies' motion to dismiss.
