Fed. Circ. Affirms Search Patent Win For Google, AOL

Law360, New York (February 11, 2011, 3:01 PM EST) -- The Federal Circuit has affirmed a lower court's ruling that online advertising platforms run by Google Inc. and AOL LLC do not infringe a patent held by PricePlay Inc.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit issued a one-sentence per curiam order Friday affirming the March decision by Federal Circuit Chief Judge Randall Rader, who had been sitting by designation in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, to grant summary judgment of noninfringement to Google and AOL.
