Photographer Claims Rihanna Video Copied His Work

Law360, New York (February 14, 2011, 5:06 PM EST) -- Photographer David LaChapelle took aim at R&B singer Rihanna and Island Def Jam Music Group on Monday in a copyright infringement suit alleging the recent music video for her song "S&M" copied his photos. 

LaChapelle filed a four-count complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, naming Rihanna, or Robyn Rihanna Fenty, as a defendant as well as Island Def Jam, Melina Matsoukas and Black Dog Films. Matsoukas directed the music video while Black Dog produced it, according to the plaintiff....
