Workers' Comp Policy Excludes Iraqis: Continental

Law360, New York (February 14, 2011, 6:31 PM EST) -- A Continental Insurance Co. workers' compensation insurance policy does not cover foreign nationals killed or injured while working for the Sandi Group in Iraq, the insurer alleges in a new lawsuit.

Continental filed the declaratory judgment suit on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, seeking a ruling that Iraqis working for Sandi Group were not covered under the policy because it only covered U.S. citizens during the relevant time period.
