DOD Seeks More Input On Property-Reporting Shakeup

Law360, New York (February 18, 2011, 5:18 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Defense on Friday said it was seeking additional public comment on a proposed rule that would remove dollar thresholds for reporting government-furnished property, increasing requirements for contractors to account for government equipment.

The DOD said it would extend the public comment period on the rule until April 8, pushed back from Feb. 22, after saying earlier that it was unable to estimate the number of small businesses the rule would affect.
