Covidien Faces Class Action Over Off-The-Clock Work

Law360, New York (February 18, 2011, 8:07 PM EST) -- Workers at Tyco International Ltd.'s spinoff company Covidien Ltd. are seeking class certification in a suit that alleges the disposable medical supplies manufacturer forced its distribution employees to work off-the-clock and provided them with incomplete wage statements.

Current and former Covidien employees Gerard Fleming, Sergio Montenegro, Robert Morales and Eddie Ramirez filed a motion for class certification Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in a suit alleging several violations of California labor law.
