GAO Tosses Protest Over Aircraft Upkeep RFP

Law360, New York (February 22, 2011, 4:58 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has nixed Airforce Turbine Service Ltd.'s protest over a U.S. Forest Service request for proposals that required bidders to be facilities designated to service aircraft used to fight forest fires.

The GAO said in its Feb. 16 decision that the Forest Service's RFP for an aircraft maintenance and overhaul services did not unduly restrict competition.
