BearingPoint Sues DOI Over $47M Contract Claim

Law360, New York (February 23, 2011, 8:06 PM EST) -- Management and technology consulting firm BearingPoint Inc., which emerged from bankruptcy in 2009, on Friday challenged the U.S. Department of the Interior's $47 million damages claim related to a breach of contract suit.

The complaint, filed in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, is intertwined with the company's bankruptcy proceedings and its previous litigation against DOI that blamed the agency for the delays that caused the federal government to unilaterally terminate its contract to implement a new financial and business management system in 2005.
