JPMorgan Wins 5th Circ. Sex Bias Case

Law360, New York (February 23, 2011, 7:37 PM EST) -- JPMorgan Chase Bank NA on Wednesday beat an appeal of a sex and disability discrimination case brought by a commercial loan operator who claimed he was mistreated by his female supervisors.

No evidence supports plaintiff Oscar Avina's contention that he was wrongly fired from the bank, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit said, upholding a lower court decision.
