CDA Bars USPS Breach Of Contract Claims: 3rd Circ.

Law360 (February 25, 2011, 7:55 PM EST) -- In a precedential decision, the Third Circuit on Friday ruled that the Contract Disputes Act of 1978 bars breach of contract claims against the U.S. Postal Service in federal district courts.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit affirmed a lower court's dismissal of a case brought against the USPS by real estate developer Anselma Crossing LP, which had agreed in March 2007 to construct a building on one of its properties in Chester Springs, Pa., that would be leased by the agency....
