Yellow Tail Maker Sues Rival Over Wallaby Labels

Law360, New York (February 28, 2011, 4:49 PM EST) -- The Australian maker of Yellow Tail, the best-selling imported wine in the United States, is suing a rival in a New York federal court for allegedly infringing the wallaby trademark that appears on its bottles.

Casella Wins Pty Ltd. lodged an amended complaint Feb. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, claiming The Wine Group LLC has created knockoffs bearing its mark.
