FTC Blesses AOL's $315M HuffPost Takeover

Law360, New York (March 1, 2011, 6:34 PM EST) -- The Federal Trade Commission on Tuesday ended its antitrust review of AOL Inc.’s proposed purchase of popular news site The Huffington Post for $315 million, clearing the way for the deal.

The agency issued a notice on its website that it had approved the New York-based Internet giant’s planned acquisition and granted an early termination of the review.

Representatives for the FTC and the companies did not respond to requests seeking comment Tuesday.
