CIT Backs Commerce On Russian Metal Duties

Law360, New York (March 2, 2011, 3:23 PM EST) -- The U.S. Court of International Trade on Tuesday upheld the latest results in the U.S. Department of Commerce's anti-dumping duty review on pure and alloyed magnesium metal from Russia, shutting down competing protests from Russian and American industry players.

Judge Judith M. Barzilay of the CIT sustained Commerce's November duty results, which stemmed from the CIT's previous remand of the department's second anti-dumping administrative review, and dismissed the case brought by Russian metal manufacturer PSC VSMPO-Avisma Corp. and its U.S. subsidiary.
