Major Found Guilty Of Bribery Over Iraq Contracts

Law360, New York (March 2, 2011, 2:01 PM EST) -- A jury in Alabama on Tuesday found a former U.S. Army contracting officer and his wife guilty of conspiring to accept more than $2.8 million in bribes in exchange for lucrative contracts in Iraq and Kuwait.

After less than a day of deliberations, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama convicted Maj. Eddie Pressley and Eurica Pressley on all 22 counts of a superseding indictment, including bribery and bribery conspiracy, honest services wire fraud, and money laundering.
