Ex-NY Legislator Gets 21 Months In Corruption Case

Law360, New York (May 13, 2011, 4:43 PM EDT) -- Former New York state lawmaker Vincent L. Leibell III, who held office for 28 years, was sentenced to 21 months in prison on Friday after pleading guilty in December to extorting kickback from attorneys.

U.S. District Judge Warren W. Eginton handed down the prison term as well as three years of supervised release on Liebell's release and a $4,000 fine.
