Coin Trade Group Exits EBay Antitrust Class Action

Law360, New York (March 2, 2011, 6:39 PM EST) -- A California federal judge approved a settlement Wednesday dismissing the American Numismatic Association from an antitrust class action accusing eBay Inc. and several coin-grading services of scheming to keep smaller competitors out of the online market.

Judge Ronald M. Whyte signed an order in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California officially removing ANA and ANA President Barry Stuppler from the case, a putative class action filed by Universal Grading Service LLC, its president and two individual coin dealers.
