US Challenged Over $350M Navy Contract Award

Law360, New York (March 2, 2011, 10:28 PM EST) -- Defense Technology Inc. is protesting the U.S. Navy's decision to cancel its request for proposals and give Russian government-owned Rosoboronexport State Corp. a $380 million contract to provide helicopters for the Afghan air force.

The military supplier said it would have received the contract if the federal government had acted in a fair and legal manner, according to an amended complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. The initial complaint was filed under seal on Feb. 23.
