EarthLink Subpoenaed Over Blog's Bar Exam

Law360, New York (April 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An organization tasked with creating test questions for would-be lawyers has cited the Digital Millennium Copyright Act in a subpoena for EarthLink Inc. to find out who posted questions from a bar examination on the Internet.

The National Conference of Bar Examiners filed a notice of its demand in federal court for the Northern District of Georgia on April 12. The letter told EarthLink to reveal the owner of an Internet protocol (IP) address that the group squeezed out of Google Inc. using a similar subpoena....
