Fed. Circ. Backs Retrial In Cisco Wireless IP Row

Law360, New York (March 4, 2011, 7:31 PM EST) -- The Federal Circuit on Friday rejected Cisco Systems Inc.’s bid to nix a retrial granted to Commil USA LLC over allegedly improper religious references made to a Texas jury in a $56 million patent suit over wireless networking technology.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit found little reason to vacate a district court’s call for a new trial on allegations that Cisco induced infringement of Commil’s wireless networking patent, rejecting Cisco's argument that a new trial "will impose ... monumental time and expense"...
