Atheros Investor Can't Halt Qualcomm Merger Vote

Law360, New York (March 4, 2011, 7:32 PM EST) -- An Atheros Communications Inc. investor lost his bid Friday to enjoin a shareholder vote on a potential merger with Qualcomm Inc. in his California class action alleging the $3.2 billion deal was coercive and would violate Atheros shareholders' rights.

Judge Lucy H. Koh denied Joel Krieger's bid for a preliminary injunction on the impending March 7 vote in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
