OSHA Cites Spiderman Musical Violations

Law360 (March 4, 2011, 6:47 PM EST) -- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration on Thursday said it has issued three violations to the company producing the beleaguered musical “Spiderman: Turn off the Dark” for subjecting actors to hazardous high-flying stunts.

Production company 8 Legged Productions LLC should have known the stunts were likely to cause serious injury, and must pay OSHA $12,600 in fines for the violations and bring its production into compliance with OSHA workplace safety standards, the agency said in a statement.
