Gov'ts Win Cert. In McKesson Price-Rigging Suit

Law360, New York (March 4, 2011, 10:46 PM EST) -- A Massachusetts federal court on Friday certified a class of municipalities in a suit that accuses McKesson Corp. of scheming to fraudulently inflate prices of more than 400 brand-name prescription drugs, including Prozac, Lipitor, Zocor and Vioxx.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts certified a class of cities, counties and other municipalities that overpaid for medication from August 2001 to June 2005 as a result of a scheme in which McKesson allegedly conspired to rig the average wholesale price of brand-name drugs....
