SEC Locates Galleon Defendant In India

Law360, New York (March 7, 2011, 6:35 PM EST) -- A fugitive analyst accused of passing on nonpublic information in an insider trading scandal centered on Galleon Group LLC founder Raj Rajaratnam has been in India for the past year, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said on Friday.

An Indian bailiff served former Moody's Investors Service Inc. employee Deep Shah with a summons and the U.S. government's amended complaint in March 2010, the SEC said in an affidavit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
